You start on the 18 Septemberplein, right in the centre, and walk a good four and a half kilometres through a city that reinvented itself twice in the twentieth century. Along the way ten riddles arrive on WhatsApp. Not one of them can be solved from the sofa: the answer is always somewhere around you, on a wall, a stone or a little sign you would never have noticed.

The route takes you along the Demer, across the Dommel, and past the Van Abbemuseum and the Catharina church. After that you end up in the Philips heritage, with the Lichttoren, the Witte Dame and an alley where the back of an old factory still stands exactly as it did when people worked there. You finish where you began.

There is a break halfway, at the Sint-Catharinakerk, with terraces all around. That time does not count towards your finishing time, so you can sit down for a drink before you carry on.

Getting stuck is not a problem. Every riddle comes with two hints, and if it still will not come, the bot gives you the answer and you walk on. At the end you see how fast you were compared with everyone who walked this route before you.
